He is an attorney at Law and Notary Public, as well as a licensed Journalist from the the Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica. He also obtained a degree in Political Science at the Universidad de Costa Rica.

He has been Professor of Journalism at the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica (1994), Universidad Leonardo Da Vinci (1996), and Universidad de Cartago (1998). He is member of the Costa Rican Bar Association and the Journalists Association. He speaks Spanish and English.
